My Favorite Holiday!

Well folks, I just had to let ya’ll know that today is probably one of my favorite holidays! Dog Biscuit Appreciation Day! I don’t think I have to explain why. To honor this day I thought I would share with you one of my very favorite recipes that Heidi has made for me in the past. Peanut Butter and Bananas! Hoo Doggy! Makes my mouth water just thinkin’ bout ‘em!

Peanut Butter and Banana Biscuits

1 egg

1/3 C. Peanut Butter

½ C Mashed Banana

1 tbsp Honey

½ C. Wheat Germ

1 C. Whole Wheat Flour plus more for rolling out

1 egg white for brushing tops of cookies before baking

Directions:

In a medium bowl hand mix egg, peanut butter, homey and banana together till thoroughly mixed. Add dry ingredients, mix well, and turn onto well floured counter and roll to desired thickness and cut desired shape. Brush tops with the egg white if desired.

Pre-heat oven to 3000 and bake for 20 minutes then check to see if they’re done…bake a little longer if they aren’t, about 5 to 10 minutes.

We’re Baaaaaaccckkkkk!

Got back from Tucson late last week, and gosh golly we had us some fun! Sorry I didn’t let ya know ‘fore now, but as soon as we got back Heidi had to get packin’. We’ve got to be outta the house by the 25^th and of course we have the Desert Treasures Show the 28^th! So I just thought I’d take a moment and let you know that we are busily preparing for the Trunk Show that you all know and love, and are very excited to show you what we got this year! ‘Course no matter how much ya beg, we can’t show you anything till the 28^th! Beggin’ never works for me either, Heidi is one tuff cookie!

Spunky Old Broads Day

Well, It’s here…today we celebrate all you old gals that just wanna have fun! Today is Spunky Old Broad Day. If your over 50, and are feelin’ a bit frisky that means you! Spunky Old Broad day is a day to go out and get a touch crazy. Die your hair Purple, sing out loud in the grocery line, wear something outrageous, just cuz ya can! Don’t just sit back and git old, get out there and have some fun. Come in and hang out with me! We’ll do some beading!

I’ve been tryin’ ta get Lilly to go a little crazy, maybe get a new ‘do, or play ricochet rabbit, but, she’s gonna need a little more work. Heidi on the other paw, I don’t figure I’ve got to do much persuadin’. She’s been having a touch tooooo much fun if you ask me. I’ll just leave it at that… As long as I get to still go out and run through the “weaves”, play on the teeter, and jump over stuff, I’m happy!
